What would you do if you found something strange on the beach? If you're Ethan, you turn that find into an adventure of unbridled imagination.

Discover Ethan and his faithful friend Fred. While exploring on a beach after a terrible overnight storm, they discover a bewildering bottle. Ethan begins to wonder where it came from, what might be inside. Is it part of pirate treasure? Is there a message from a castaway? What if there's a magic genie inside? Is it from an alien spaceship? Does it open a portal to a magic land?

The story is told through 16 illustrations, with 9 panoramic 2-page spreads offering us a cinematic window into Ethan's amazing imagination.

The uplifting ending shows how Ethan turns a temporary disappointment into a lifetime of inventive inspiration.
